This is an anthological publication about disrupting the notion of capitalist realism, coined by Mark Fisher in his book, Capitalist Realism: Is There No Alternative?.
Mark Fisher describes “capitalist realism” as the dominant belief that capitalism is the only feasible economic system, with no conceivable alternatives, resulting in a sense of despondency (Fisher, 2009).
This publication attempts to rupture capitalist realism through the disruptive type treatment of song lyrics from Life During Wartime by Talking Heads and Nervous Breakdown by Black Flag, as they splice, interrupt, and separate excerpts from Fisher’s book.
